The Millers consist of a group of athletes who strive to demonstrate the sport of beep baseball as the most competitive adaptive form of the national pastime.  Athletes of all ages, both male and female, make-up this high energy competitive team.

Miracle League

The Miracle League of Minnesota provides opportunities for children between the ages of 3-21 with disabilities. They have a location in Blaine.

Roll With It

Roll With It (RWI) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sports training, competition, and recreations in a vareity of wheelchiar and adapted sports for individuals with physical disabilities.  Giving them continuing lifelong opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other wheelchair athletes and the community.

I Can Fish! - MN Dept of Natural Resources

I Can Fish is a free hands-on program that teaches all of the basics (fish identification, casting, knot-tying) you'll need to continue creating unforgettble days with the family.

Let's Go Fishing - St. Croix Valley Chapter

Let’s Go Fishing is committed to its mission of providing no-cost fishing and boating excursions for people 55 and greater, disabled, or veterans. Excursions load at the Bayport Marina in Bayport.

Eligible individuals with disabilities can obtain a one-year or permanent Minnesota Fishing License, without charge. For more information, visit the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Hockey

Minnesota Sled Hockey Association

The Minnesota Sled Hockey Association is dedicated to promote societal awareness of the challenges and needs of persons who have physical disabilities.  They provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in hockey and promote the development of excellence in hockey in Minnesota.The program is open to players aged 5 and older with physical and/or cognitive disabilities.

Minnesota Disabled Hockey Programs

Disabled Hockey Programs are supported by USA Hockey across the nation and prove that the nation and prove that hockey is for everyBody.  These programs are divided into five discplines:  Standing/Amputee, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Sled Warriors and Special Hockey.

Minnesota Special Hockey

Minnesota Special Hockey exists for the enrichment of the athlete with a developmental disability. In addition to physical hockey skills, the program emphasizes the development of desirable individual characteristics such and dependability, self-reliance, concentration, teamwork, willingness to share and personal accountability.

PowerHockey

PowerHockey provides a quality hockey program for persons requiring the use of an electric (power) wheelchair in daily life.

Horseback Riding (Hippotherapy)

Courage Kenny Riders

Giddy-up to this fun and friendly horseback riding program for children with disabilities!  For youth ages 5 to 21 with a physical disability or sensory impairment.

River Valley Riders (RVR)

From April to October, River Valley Riders provides therapeutic riding and carriage driving in the St. Croix River Valley for children and adults with special needs.  Benefits include improvement of balance, increase of core strength, development of self-confidence and improvement of social skills.

St. Croix Trail Blazers

St. Croix Trail Blazers is a Minnesota Special Olympics and Adapted Riding Team.  Their mission is to provide horseback riding, training, and competitive sports opportunities to individuals with physical, mental, and emotional challenges in a safe learning environment, and to demonstrate and provide appropriate equine care for horses used in training and sports programs.  Their goal is not to win but to help each rider advance as far as they can.

The Gathering Place Stables

The Gathering Place Stables is a therapeutic riding facility that specializes in one-to-one therapy.  They also offer small group sessions, but never with more than three riders at a time.  They provide services for children and adults with a variety of special needs.

We Can Ride

We Can Ride is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization whose mission is serving children and adults living with physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. Their goal is to enhance their client’s skills and well-being through challenging programs of therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving. One of their locations is East Wind Farms located in Marine on St. Croix.

JK Martial Arts

JK Martial Arts specializes in teaching Karate to children and adults, with a focus on those with ADD/ADHD, autism and all learning disabilities.

Minnesota Adaptive Sailing

Minnesota Adaptive Sailing provides opportunities for physically challenged individuals with or without previous experience to sail in a controlled supportive environment.

Padraig's Place - Adaptive Winter Sports

Padraig's Place, a local non-profit organization, and Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard School have come together to provide a fun experience for skiers and snowboarders with both physical and cognitive disabilities in Burnsville.

Special Olympics Minnesota

Special Olympics Minnesota is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports, adapted as necessary.

Water Skiiing - Adaptive, Courage Kenny

Beginner to competition-level adaptive waer-skiers welcome.  We'll provide the instruction and adapted equipment for stand-up and sit-skiers.  Classes held at Lake Owasso in Shoreview.

Wayzata Community Sailing Center

It has long been our objective at the Wayzata Community Sailing Center to provide "Sailing for everyone" regardless of ability or background.  We are proud to be one of the only providers of sailing lessons for persons with disabilities in the greater Twin Cities area.  We are WCSC hold our staff to the highest level of education possible and require that each staff member be trained using the US Sailing Certification System.  With their training, our instructors can provide fun, safe and educational sailing lessons for people of all abilities through out the summer on our highly stable adaptive sailboats.

Courage Kenny SHARE Program

SHARE (Sports, Health, Activity, Recreation and Exercise) is a resource that provides people of all ages and disabilities the opportunity to achieve physical, emotional and avocational fitness.  It is a one-stop shop for activity listings and registration details, featuring web-based resources throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability
