Partners in Policymaking

In May 1987, the Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities created a ground-breaking, innovative program called Partners in Policymaking to teach parents and self-advocates the power of advocacy and change the way people with disabilities are supported, viewed, taught, live and work.  Online courses are available.

The Arc of Minnesota

The Arc of Minnesota is a non-profit, statewide voluntary organization that promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities

The Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MN-CCD) is a broad-based coalition of more than 100 organizations of persons with disabilities, providers and advocates, dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities. They address public policy issues that affect people with disabilities by collaborating with others, advocating, educating, influencing change and creating awareness for understanding.
